Our People
We recognise that qualified, well-trained staff are the key to our success. That's why comprehensive training is provided across our Taupo site, in both skill training and personal development.
Since 2005, Tenon has received numerous national training awards from FITEC - the training organisation for the forestry and wood products industry. Just some of our awards include the 2006 Processing Company of Year, and 2009 Training Company of the Year.
All our employees have access to a company Education Fund, which supports the education and development of all employees and their families.
Health, Safety and Wellbeing
At Tenon, the health, safety and wellbeing of all employees is central to everything we do.
In 2010 we launched a site-wide Zero Harm programme, which aims to prevent accident/injury to all employees.
We've also achieved the highest tertiary level of accreditation possible in the New Zealand government's Accident Compensation Commission (ACC) Partnership Programme since 2004.
Our employees are provided with a number of wellness initiatives, which include:
• A well equipped on site gym, with access to a qualified personal trainer
• Annual health check
• Annual Flu Inoculation
• Support from an on site Occupational Health Nurse
• Employee Assistance Programme
• Tenon Welfare Fund
• Annual Family Day
